A couple of area congregations will see a new era of worship ushered in this summer as their pastors move on to both retirement and service in other communities.
The latest, this past weekend, a welcome to retirement party was thrown in honor of Pastor Stan Gruneich and his wife, Lonnie of Second Presbyterian Church in Flandreau.
After 19 years of leading the church, the turnout was heartwarming and bittersweet for a send-off luncheon. A sincere thank you to Pastor Gruneich for all you and your family have given the community!
His last official day on the job, we understand, is today.
